God is on the Move

Developing Church Merger between Eugene First Church of the Nazarene and Fairfield Church of the Nazarene.

When God moves, God uses unexpected people, methods, and timing. A Zoom town hall meeting happened on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 6:30 pm to discuss the developing church merger between Eugene First and Fairfield. The link will be made available soon.

A letter was mailed out from the office with more details. You can read the letter on our website through this link: http://bit.ly/ChurchMerger

The church boards of Eugene First Church of the Nazarene and Fairfield Church of the Nazarene bring to our congregations a unanimous YES church board vote to move forward with the intent to merge together! Our District Superintendent, Dave Anderson, fully supports this, as does our Jurisdictional General Superintendent, Dr. Eugenio Duarte.

For those of you that don’t know, Fairfield Nazarene was planted in 1958 from Eugene First! We are already family…we have been family…and now we can become more like family than ever before as we move into 2021!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19

Bring your excitement and your questions to the Zoom town hall meeting tomorrow night, the link is in your email inbox. Can’t make it but still want to watch? No problem. The recording will be made available shortly after on our website.

The invitation is out there to begin praying, because on January 10th—the same Sunday that is our first in-building worship for our restart AND the same Sunday we are celebrating our 90th anniversary—we will have a church-wide vote, so you can show your support for what both church boards unanimously believe is God’s best for our future together!
